How to register
You can register quickly and easily by clicking on the 'Register' button in the top left of the home page. You'll be asked for the following information in this simple five step process:
Step 1 - Personal Details
- Identify if you are registering as an Individual (Personal Registration) or an Institution (Company Registration)
- Select the type of product you have holdings in (All of your holdings will be displayed in one Portfolio)
- Enter your shareholder Unique Reference Number (URN) - you'll find this on any correspondence you have received from us, such as share certificates, dividend cheques, tax vouchers or proxy cards
- Select the company in which you hold shares managed by Equiniti (don't worry if you own shares in more than one company - you will get the chance to add these later in the process)
- Enter your first and last name - as it appears on a recent share certificate or tax voucher. If the shareholder is a company you need to enter the first word of the company name
- Select whether you are resident in the UK or not, if you are, then enter your postcode
- Select the 'Continue' button to move on to step 2
Step 2 - Email address and password
- Enter your email address, this will allow us to contact you about your account and help in the event that you need to reset a forgotten password. You will need to confirm this email address
- Enter a password, this forms part of your login credentials for your Shareview portfolio account. This can be between 8 and 14 characters long, must be a mixture of letters and numbers and must contain at least one capital letter (e.g. Pa55w0rd). You will need to confirm this password
- Select the 'Continue' button to move on to step 3
Step 3 - Memorable information
- Enter your Date of Birth, by capturing your memorable information you are able to enhance the security of your Shareview portfolio account, these details will be used to authenticate your identity in the instance of a lost or forgotten user ID and / or password
- Enter your mothers maiden name, this also forms part of your memorable information
- Select three memorable questions for yourself and provide the corresponding answers
- Select the 'Continue' button to move on to step 4
Step 4 - Your profile
- Your contact details, here you have the option to register your contact details by entering either your mobile phone number, work number (with your extensions) and / or your home telephone number
- Select your preference on how to receive correspondence in relation to your holdings either via email or post
- Select your preference to receive the Shareview newsletter and information from Equiniti about products and services
- Once you have read the terms and conditions select the checkbox ‘I agree to the Terms and Conditions of the service’ and select the 'Register Now' button to move on to step 5
Step 5 - Registration Confirmation
- The registration process is now complete and your Shareview portfolio account has now been created. A user ID will have been generated for your account and it is important to a make a note of this as you will need it to log in to your Shareview portfolio account.
- As a new user you will receive an activation code for your Shareview portfolio account by post, at the address Equiniti has registered for you, within a few days (this will vary for non-UK addresses - these letters are sent by Airmail and then handled by local postal services)
- On activating your account you will be able to gain access to your full holding information and use account functions like changing your address, amending bank mandates, accessing online voting and viewing share prices
- You can still log in to your Shareview Portfolio account prior to activation using your user ID and password, but you will only be able to view a limited set of information about your holdings and you will not be able to access any account functionality like changing your addresses etc.
