How to solve technical problems

Passwords

You chose your password when you registered for the service but if you can't remember it you can ask us to send you a temporary one by:

  • selecting 'Help' on the Shareview homepage (next to the 'Log in 'button),
  • entering your access number,
  • clicking 'GO'.

We'll then send your temporary password to the email address we have for you. The email should arrive within a few minutes of clicking the 'GO' button.

You can log on by entering the password and access number exactly as it appears in the email. The best way to do this is to highlight and copy the temporary password in the email and then pasting it in the relevant field on the Shareview log-in page.
Once you've logged on you'll be asked to choose your own password which you should use, along with your access number, to log on in the future.

If you don't receive the email containing your password at all, it could be because:

  • you have used a different email address from the one registered on your Shareview holding,
  • the registered email address isn't identical to the one held by your Internet Service Provider,
  • you have recently changed your email address,
  • your mail box may be over its size limit,
  • the email has been filtered as junk email.

You can solve this by:

  • going to 'Help' and selecting the 'Update your contact details' link at the top of the page,
  • entering your access number and both your old and new email addresses,
  • checking your email software.

If you try these steps and still can't receive the email, please call us on 0871 384 2233. Calls to this number are charged at 8p per minute from a BT landline. Other telephony provider costs may vary.
