I’ve sent you a death certificate and a will, why is a Grant of Representation needed?

A Grant of Representation is a legal document granted by the Family Division of the High Court appointing one or more people to administer the financial affairs of a deceased’s estate. For registration purposes we do require sight of this document as it clearly indicates the person (or persons) who has the legal authority to receive any outstanding monies and sell or transfer the shares.
