How to report a lost share certificate?
Your share certificates are proof of your ownership so if you lose them let us know as soon as you can on 0871 384 2233. When you call us have to hand the details of any certificates you've still got; this will help us identify the missing ones quickly. Calls to this number are charged at 8p per minute from a BT landline. Other telephony provider costs may vary.
We'll then send you a letter of indemnity for you to sign and return to us. This letter requests replacements for lost shares from the treasury of the company you own shares in. By signing this letter you are agreeing to:
- return the lost certificates to us for cancellation, should you find them again at a later date
- guarantee that the company you hold shares in will not be liable for any losses that result from issuing your duplicate certificates.
