Re-investment options

This page covers Dividend Reinvestment Plans (DRIP) and SCRIP Dividend Schemes (SCRIP).

Dividend re-investments

Dividend reinvestment is a convenient, easy and cost effective way to build your shareholding by receiving shares instead of a cash dividend.

Participating companies may offer more than one reinvestment option but usually only offer one option per dividend paid, and may change or suspend the options offered. Elections not used for a particular dividend, will be retained and applied to subsequent dividends where that option is provided.

Please note:

If you are a CREST Holder and wish to make a dividend reinvestment request, you must do by following the CREST Elections Process.

Apply

To apply or change your dividend elections check the list of companies below to see if your company offers a dividend reinvestment option.

Companies that offer DRIP or Scrip Dividend Options

The companies listed within the "apply" section offer shareholders the option to reinvestment their cash dividends to purchase shares or receive new allotted shares as applicable.

Participating companies may provide several dividend options but usually offer one option per dividend and may change or suspend the options offered. Elections not used for a particular dividend will be retained and applied to subsequent dividends where that option is provided.

When you elect to receive shares by reinvestment you will be sent;

  • A DRIP purchase statement and/or a SCRIP dividend statement
  • A share certificate (if applicable)
  • A tax voucher

Please note:
If you are a CREST participant or hold your shares in a Corporate Sponsored Nominee, you will not receive a share certificate.

If your election is cancelled/revoked, any existing instruction you’ve given us - to pay your cash dividends to a bank, building society or third party - will then be re-applied as default. If you think that we currently hold out-of-date bank/building society details for any of your shareholdings, please click the button below.

Non CREST Holders

If you currently have a DRIP or SCRIP election applied to a shareholding and would like to cancel this to receive your dividends as a cash payment, you can complete and return a Revocation form (available by clicking the button below).

CREST Holders

If you are a CREST Holder you must follow the CREST elections process to make or revoke a dividend election (click the button below for more information).
