Shareview Portfolio is the simplest way to update your bank details.

Important Information

  • You will need to have an existing Shareview portfolio to provide or update your bank account details online. If you don't have a Shareview portfolio you can register online
  • If your bank account is held overseas please check our 'Change the mandate for an overseas shareholder' FAQ item on this page for further information on your options
  • Legal representative / Power of Attorney - If you are a legal representative or Power of Attorney for an account, you will only be able to update your bank account details by post
  1. Login to Shareview
  2. Go to 'Change my account settings' in 'Quick links'
  3. Click 'My bank details'
  4. Select 'Change'

For security purposes, all mandate requests relating to corporate holdings need to be sent by post.

Unable to complete the form?
If you are unable to download, print or complete the form, we will accept a written instruction on company-headed paper. Please ensure that the following information is included:

  • Signature of an authorised corporate signatory; stating the capacity in which they sign (such as: Director, Secretary or authorised signatory)
  • Full Bank Account Number, Sort Code and Reference Number (if applicable and to a maximum of 18 characters)
  • Name and address of corporate shareholder
  • Name of the company(ies) and Shareholder Reference(s) in which the shares are held (this can be found on the share certificate, share statement or on any previous correspondence we have sent you)

Please note: Most banks use a BACS payment system; the system we use for direct payment. Some banks do not offer this service. When this is the case your mandate instruction will be rejected.

The provision of bank / building society mandate details will not replace any existing DRIP / SCRIP details currently applied to your shareholding.

For security purposes, requests to set up/amend mandates to overseas accounts need to be made by post and include a completed overseas mandate form.

Please note the following:

  • A small fee is deducted prior to the funds being credited to your overseas account and is detailed on the Overseas Mandate form/ guidance notes
  • Shareholders with bank/building society accounts registered in the Republic of Ireland are required to complete an overseas mandate form
  • Shareholders with bank/building society accounts registered in Northern Ireland should use the standard UK process detailed above
  • The provision of bank / building society mandate details will not replace any existing DRIP / SCRIP details currently applied to you shareholding

These services are only available for Shell, Aberdeen, Vodafone, Mondi, Anglo American, Beazley, Hiscox and IHG.

If you hold shares in Shell plc you can arrange for direct payment in Euro, USD or GBP to an overseas bank account. If you hold shares in Aberdeen Group plc and/or Vodafone plc you can arrange for direct payment in Euro or GBP to an overseas bank account. To do this you will need to complete a Currency Election Form or submit a Dividend Election in your Shareview Portfolio.

If you hold shares in Aberdeen Group plc and your registered address is in Canada, you can arrange for direct payment in Canadian Dollar to your Canadian bank account. To do this you will need to complete a CAD Election Form or submit a Dividend Election in your Shareview Portfolio.

If you hold shares in Mondi plc you can arrange for direct payment in Euro only to an overseas bank account. If you hold shares in Anglo American, Beazley, Hiscox or IHG you can arrange for direct payment in US Dollars only to an overseas bank account. To do this you will need to complete a Currency Form.

If you already have a Shareview Portfolio, you can log in to add/change your overseas bank account for your Shell, Aberdeen or Vodafone shares online.

Login Register

As long as your shareholding meets certain criteria, the change will take place straightaway.

If you don't have a Shareview Portfolio, you can register via the Register button on this page and manage all aspects of your shareholdings online. Alternatively, you will need make the request by phone or by post.

If you are a shareholder who has a UK bank/building society account, you can arrange to have dividends paid direct via a bank/building society mandate.

  • Unclaimed payments - Any unclaimed payments on the shareholdings (such as dividends) will be reissued and we may deduct a fee. The fee will depend on the value of the payment(s)
