Certificates: Faster payment is the default method, with a fee of £4.99, this ensures a same day transaction. If you choose to be paid by bank transfer, the payment will be made via direct BACS credit and take at least three working days to clear - this is a free service. If you choose to be paid by cheque, a cheque will be sent to you within a few days of receiving your completed and signed CREST transfer form, plus a valid share certificate for the shares you are selling. Postal times would need to be considered in this process and a fee of £10 for cheque payment applies.
Corporate Sponsored Nominee (CSN): If you choose to be paid by bank transfer, the payment will be made via direct BACS credit and take at least two working days to clear. If you choose to be paid by cheque, a cheque will be issued three working days after your trade is placed in the market.
Please note: BACS & Faster payments can only be made to UK Current Accounts. We have a legal obligation to carry out checks to confirm the identity of our customers. We undertake online checks and review our other products and existing records but if we request documentation to confirm your identity, we will not be able to send your sale proceeds until we have received these documents. If you choose to receive proceeds by bank transfer but fail the automated checks, your proceeds will be issued by cheque instead.
Email: If you have chosen to receive your documents by email the trade confirmation, contract note and crest transfer form will be emailed to you the same day.
Post: If you have selected the postal option, the contract note, trade confirmation and Crest Transfer form will be sent to you by first class post no later than the first working day after the deal has been executed, detailing what you need to do next.
