How easy is it to trade online via Shareview Dealing?

It’s very straightforward and here’s our step by step guide.

What do I need?

  • Your NI number
  • A share certificate in your name (to sell)
  • Debit card (to buy)

If your share certificate is not in your name, please check how you can make changes on our transfer certificated shares page.

Please check here to see the list of companies you can trade using our online service.

1. Stock search

Enter the name of the shares you want to buy or sell into the stock search. If Equiniti is the registrar, you’ll see the stock listed, along with the option to Buy or Sell. Then select the shares you wish to trade.

Sell

Decide on the number of shares, or the value of shares you want to sell and we will generate a quote via the ‘Get Quote’ button. You will be presented with quote details to review before the sale is placed. On this screen there is a countdown bar tracking how long you have to confirm. If you run out of time, simply run the quote again, this is to ensure you receive an up-to-date price.

Once you are ready to make the trade, select confirm to complete the sale. You will then go to a confirmation screen with details of the sale, verifying it has been successfully completed.

What's next?

With the trade placed, a contract note confirming the sale and pre-filled CREST Transfer form will be sent to you via first class post. You can also download the CREST transfer form below to start this process.
