Transfer, Sell or Donate the Shares

Transferring Digital and Paper certificates into the EQ ISA

If you would prefer not to open an ISA, the options for you are:

For digital held shares in a Corporate Sponsored Nominee Service our Form A will need to be completed.

For Paper Share Certificates our Stock Transfer form will need to be completed. The form will need to be submitted with all share certificates. If any certificates are missing, we can issue a Letter of Indemnity to replace them. More information is available at: Replace a lost certificate.

Transferring shares in BAE Systems, easyJet and Qinetiq

If you are keeping the shares in a Corporate Sponsored Nominee Service or as paper share certificates, you will also need to complete and return a Nationality Declaration form. Please download, complete and return the appropriate form:

Qinetiq Nationality Declaration Form

Whilst the shares remain in the name of the late Shareholder, you can sell the shares using our Postal Share Dealing service.

Alternatively, if you wish to sell the shares online or over the phone, the shares must be transferred into the new owners name. Find out how to transfer the shares in the 'Transfer' section on this page.

Once the shares have been transferred into the new owner's name, you can use any of Equiniti's sharedealing services to sell them.

Please note: If the shares are held in Paper Share Certificates, you are not limited to using one of our services.

Donate the shares to charity​

We work closely with ShareGift, a charity that helps shareholders or their legal representatives move on small amounts of shares that would otherwise be uneconomic to sell or transfer.

If you wish to donate the shares to charity, please complete the relevant Sharegift Transfer form.
